Florida Rx Card Sponsors Toy Drive for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital
‘Tis the season for giving. Florida Rx Card, powered by United Networks of America, took part in giving back this year by hosting a toy drive for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital to brighten the lives of pediatric patients and their families in the hospital during the holiday season.

Throughout November and December, representatives from Florida Rx Card across the state collected toys, art supplies, and other gifts for the pediatric patients at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. At the conclusion of the toy drive, a representative from Florida Rx transported the collected items to the hospital and presented them to the Child Life department.

Toy drives are just one way that Florida Rx Card gives back to UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital throughout the year. Florida Rx Card’s program also raises funds for Children’s Miracle Network at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital simply by customers using their prescription card. Each time a prescription is processed through the Florida Rx Card, UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital receives a donation. Florida Rx Card is a statewide prescription assistance program and all Florida residents are eligible to have their prescriptions processed through this prescription savings card. In 2017, Florida Rx raised more than $11,000 for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital

Since 2015, the United Networks of America partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised over $2.4 million dollars for local children’s hospitals. Of this, $11,000 has been raised for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital.
